Whitening Shade Tracker

Log your starting shade against a 16-step scale, record sessions, and see the realistic end point for your method.

Check in daylight, against the middle third of an upper front tooth, not the edge and not the gum line.
Nightly gel in a fitted tray. The best value for most people because the tray holds gel against the tooth and off the gum.
Past 14 sessions this method stops adding much.

About 4 shades lighter on this 16-step scale. Colour typically drifts back a quarter of the way over the first few weeks as the teeth rehydrate, which is what the third swatch shows. Maintain with one or two nights of tray gel every few months rather than repeating a full course.

Crowns, veneers, bonding, and fillings do not change colour with any of these methods. If you plan new restorations, whiten first and match the new work to the final shade.
